Have you tried typing the address of the other PC in Windows Explorer? problematic laptop, eh? Thanks in advance, Marshall Neill Misc. If you can’t ping them, then that means that there is something wrong with the network connection itself. By default, Windows does not allow the File and Printer Sharing service access through the firewall, so you have to manually allow access.
are all fine (as expected since the other computers can access files on the laptop without any problem), so I hope someone here has a suggestion because after spending several hours maryo says: 6 years ago I've tried all your suggestions and still can't view any other computers in my workgroup.
