I am not sure exactly what worked but changing the Authentication method was the last unique action before it started working properly. I suspected a permissions problem. When i try and create another inbox for incoming email on the same account it works, but after exiting and going back into Thunderbird, it freezes and will not work at Close Netscape. 6.
